Return & Refund Policy

At Mahith Gems & Jewels, we want customers to receive their products in proper condition and as described.

Eligible products may be returned within 7 days from the date of delivery, subject to the conditions below and applicable law.

1. 7-Day Return Period

A return request should be submitted within 7 calendar days from delivery.

Requests submitted after this period may not be accepted unless required under applicable law or approved by Mahith Gems & Jewels.

2. Return Conditions

To qualify for a return, the product should generally:

• Be unused

• Be in its original condition

• Not show signs of damage or misuse

• Include original packaging where applicable

• Include the original invoice where available

• Include the original gemstone certificate/report where supplied

• Include accessories supplied with the product

The returned product may be inspected before a refund or replacement is approved.

3. Damaged Products

If a product arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.

We may request:

• Photographs

• Unboxing video

• Packaging photographs

• Order details

• Courier information

An unboxing video can be particularly useful when investigating transit damage, but the absence of such a video does not by itself determine statutory consumer rights.

4. Incorrect Product

If you receive a product different from what you ordered, contact us promptly.

After verification, we may arrange an appropriate remedy such as replacement, return or refund, subject to applicable law.

5. Natural Gemstone Characteristics

Natural gemstones may contain natural inclusions, variations in colour, pattern, transparency and other characteristics.

Such naturally occurring characteristics do not automatically qualify as product defects.

Product photographs may also differ slightly from the actual gemstone because of lighting and screen settings.

6. Certified Gemstones

Where a gemstone is supplied with a certificate, the certificate/report should be returned together with the gemstone where a return is accepted.

If the original certificate or required accompanying material is missing, the refund or return may be subject to applicable costs or other conditions, to the extent permitted by law.

7. Customised, Resized or Altered Products

Products that have been customised, resized, engraved, altered or manufactured specifically according to customer instructions may be subject to different return or cancellation conditions.

Examples include:

• Custom ring sizes

• Resized rings

• Engraved products

• Custom jewellery

• Special gemstone settings

• Made-to-order products

Any applicable restrictions will be communicated to the customer before or during the order process where reasonably practicable.

These provisions do not exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Products Damaged After Delivery

A return may not be accepted where a product has been damaged after delivery through misuse, accidental damage, improper handling, unauthorised modification, resizing or other customer-caused damage, subject to applicable law.

9. Return Shipping

Where a return is requested for reasons other than a verified defect, incorrect product or other circumstance for which Mahith Gems & Jewels is responsible, applicable return shipping costs may be borne by the customer.

Where the return is due to an error attributable to Mahith Gems & Jewels or a verified product issue, we will determine the appropriate shipping arrangement in accordance with applicable law.

10. Deductions From Refund

Where a return is eligible for a refund, the refund amount may, where legally permitted and applicable, be adjusted for charges that were actually incurred and are non-refundable, such as:

• Delivery/shipping charges

• Payment gateway or transaction charges

• Special handling charges

Any applicable deduction will be communicated to the customer.

We will not make deductions that are prohibited by applicable law.

11. Return Inspection

Returned products may be inspected to verify:

• Product identity

• Condition

• Certificate/report

• Packaging

• Signs of alteration

• Damage

• Completeness of the returned package

The outcome of the inspection may affect whether the return is eligible, subject to applicable law.

12. Refund Processing

Once an eligible return is approved, the refund will normally be initiated through the applicable payment method or another legally permissible method.

The time taken for the refund to appear in the customer's account may depend on the payment provider or bank.

13. Exchange or Replacement

Where appropriate and subject to availability, we may offer replacement or exchange instead of a refund.

Replacement availability depends on stock and product specifications.
